Yes. All of our garden gates are universal handing and can be installed to open either left or right, depending on your installation requirements.
The handle, latch and lock keep receiver can be configured during installation.

No. The gate can be installed between existing walls, brickwork or existing posts.
If suitable fixing points are not available, aluminium gate posts can be purchased separately.
Yes. Selected garden gates can be supplied with a custom width service.

Custom-width gates are made to order and cannot be returned.
Yes. In addition to our standard colours, custom RAL colours are available.

Yes. Every garden gate includes a lockable handle set and three keys as standard.
Very little. Unlike timber gates, aluminium gates will not rust, rot or warp and do not require painting, staining or preservative treatments.
We recommend occasional cleaning using warm soapy water.
Yes. Many customers install their own gates using the supplied hardware and installation guides.

No. Residential Gates is a supply-only company.
Most customers use a local builder, landscaper, handyman or gate installer to carry out the installation.
Great looking door, very sturdy and the door handle feels solid and strong. Really worth it compared to the previous wooden gate I had.

I have to be honest i was a bit wary about ordering from this company from the point of view of not being able to talk to anyone. How ever what a great company to deal with. Nothing was to much trouble the measurments were double checked. I asked for a colour to match my garage door. They asked for the ral number & they matched it. The fitting is absolutley perfect & it looks great. I am that pleased i shall soon be getting a quote for my daughter of them.
So pleased with our garden gate. Jason was extremely helpful , gave him the measurements as it needed to be bespoke made.
Any issues were resolved immediately.
Communication was excellent, both with the company and the delivery guy.

We bought a gate from the residential gates, the gate is good quality, but unfortunately received wrong size and misleading info on the site, as it says 180cm and i have received 172cm, upon checking with the seller he mentions that i need to consider the B diagram, from the B pdf, when ever someone buys they go by the advert not by the pdf, so in the advert it says 180cm height, in the advert they should mention as 172cm is the actual gate height and pole is 180cm as that is very confusing and misleading. Because i was following the advert on the photo not the pdf as that is what every one does.
Now the seller doesn't resolve the issue he says they are correct. The gate looks small. Very disappointed and sad, inspite of spending so much money this is what happened.
Hence i have to give this rating.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the gate you purchased from Residential Gates. We are glad to hear that you are satisfied with the quality of the gate, but we regret to learn about the confusion concerning its height.
To clarify, the advertised height of 1800mm refers to the total height from the top to the bottom of the gate frame. The infill height, which is 1720mm in this case, is indeed slightly shorter due to the design requirements necessary for proper installation and hinge positioning.
On each product page, our website includes detailed diagrams specific to each product and a full installation guide, which was also sent to you via email on Monday, 29 April, prior to your order being placed. These documents specify that the height measurement is taken from the frame of the gate, not the infill panels. This is essential for ensuring customers have the necessary clearance for installation.
We would have been happy to offer a full refund if the gate had not been installed and was still in its original packaging, as this would be within our 30-day returns policy. Since the gate has already been installed, we are unable to process a refund at this stage. However, we are sorry that you are disappointed with this matter.
To help achieve the height you desire, you might consider adjusting the installation by moving the gate up 4cm. This can be done by not using the floor-mounted hinge and instead installing the gate using the wall-mounted hinge, which allows for a higher installation.

This has been our third gate received and installed. The quality is up there with the best and the gates look stunning. Despite receiving a wrong length shaft and screws for the handles on the third gate, it was quickly solved by Natasha who sent out replacement parts. The only criticism I have is for those plastic caps that are supposed to cover the hinges. I have not been able to get any of them to stay in place but other than that it’s a great gate and highly recommended.

After seeing these Gates fitted at my Brother in laws I had to get one...From enquiry to talking to Jason service and delivery, spot on ,,Thank you. Its in my Garage at the moment but on inspection, Quality and finish is Brilliant..as we are having new pathway being done; fitting wont be done till ready.. In the new year I'm sure I will order another gate and a double gate next year for part two,,,

Ordered an aluminium gate which was delivered in the timeframe they said and is of very high quality. I couldn’t seem to find the second cover cap for the hinge so I asked if I could be sent one and received it 2 days later! Fantastic service!
